Eat Good Food

Wanderlust Kitchen started with a simple idea:

Real food makes the outdoors better — and everyone deserves to feel like they belong out there.

I didn’t grow up camping. But soon after moving to Canada, some friends from all over — Romania, Ireland, the Caribbean — invited me on my first trip to Georgian Bay. I immediately fell in love with the Canadian wilderness. The magnificent granite rocks, crystal clear water and crackling fires: I was hooked. For the next trip, I brought authentic South Asian food to share. My friends devoured it, and before long, it became a tradition. I’d bring flavourful desi meals for every adventure.

Liz grew up among the towering Douglas firs and ancient cedars of British Columbia’s northwest coast. She fell in love with the bold desi flavours I brought — and with the sense of freedom that comes from being deep in the wild with a warm bowl of daal.

To take these meals on longer trips, we started dehydrating them — making it easier to carry our favourite flavours deeper into the backcountry.

Friends on our trips were blown away and kept asking for more! That’s when we knew we had something worth sharing.

Together, we created Wanderlust Kitchen to make it easier for everyone to explore — especially if you didn’t grow up camping. Our meals are plant-based, shelf-stable, and bursting with authentic South Asian flavour. No shortcuts. No watered-down spice.

Because good food shouldn’t be a barrier to adventure.
And the outdoors should feel like home too.
